Privilege rooms are very comfortable and larger than a classic double with added extras. A hearty breakfast but limited menu for evening meals. A couple of hiccups in that our evening meal order didn't connect to the kitchen system resulting in a longer wait for one of the mains. A starter said roasted beetroot but the chef forgot to put the beetroot in the dish. A pity the swimming pool is out of action. However the above didn't detract from our time at the hotel as we liked it's location. Staff helpful and friendly.

Service was immaculate. Breakfast and evening meal were amazing. Reception staff went above and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Room was spacious and had a great view over the water. Close to the city centre everything was a stones throw a way. The pool closed the week before we came which was a little disappointing but didn’t really affect us as there was plenty in the area to do. Thanks to the Holland House team for making our weekend so amazing.

Second time we stayed at this location. First time was much better in terms of cleanliness, the room feels like very old (needs refurbishment), we couldn't flush the toilet properly, the bed sheets didn't look very clean, the air conditioning didn't work , we used the fan but still because you cant open the windows the quality of the air in the room was poor. ( I like fresh air coming from outside). I didn't sleep very well. The staff was very nice and kind, gave them 10 points. The dining room was very nice organized, breakfast was very good, lots of selections and everything very fresh. (another 10 points). Elena

The stay has been very good, with a very friendly and willing staff, as well as the restaurant service. One remark that seems to me very important (also from a technical point of view): the hotel urgently needs a maintenance service for the toilets and bathrooms, and also, for health reasons, it is essential that the rooms have access to natural ventilation, apart from the HVOC systems. With impracticable windows, the rooms lack air renewal, which is considerably unhealthy. I think this is an urgent decision to be taken by your management, as when reviewing the reviews, almost all of them mention this problem, and in my case I noticed it during my stay. Thank you.

Some mould in the shower. I am very surprised as there are a number of excellent products on the market that will clean and deter future growth. One lift not working. A large group was in the dining room for breakfast, and there were no fried eggs. Good customer service and interaction from staff. Better information about car parks being at rear of hotel. (And maybe signage).

My partner and I had a fantastic weekend stay in this fabulous hotel! The check-in team were very professional and helpful, they were happy to answer questions and recommended some great places to visit. Marta was such a star, so friendly and thoughtful, thank you so much for your kind help! In terms of the room, it was very spacious, had great amenities, and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was excellent and varied daily. We also enjoyed dining and drinking red wine at the cozy restaurant We will certainly come back!

The hotel is very well located for a tour in Bristol as it is near to the harbour. It is not far from many restaurants and places of interest. We found that the food was of good quality- especially the breakfast. Alternative milk were labelled and available. The evening meal was good but the room was cold and lacked atmosphere. The room had a grand style but fittings needed attention as the bathroom door did not close properly. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we slept well.
